In biodynamic agriculture we call the spiritual beings behind the different plant species archetypal group souls. The stars and planets are the physical expression of the Elohim and the other ranks of spiritual hierarchies.
The Hebrew word Elohim means a plurality of Gods. If you do not alter the translation, Genesis 1:1 translates to, In the beginning Gods (Elohim) created heaven and earth.
Who are these heavenly beings that created and continue to create life?
The only two beings that appear in human form but are without human ancestry that I can find in the Bible are mentioned by Saint Paul in Hebrews. They are Melchisedec from the Old Testament and Christ in the New Testament.
Hebrews 7:1 and 7:3 is quoted as follows:
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God (distinguishing Jehovah from the other Gods, I presume), who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
Without father , without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
(Paul's statement indicates that Christ and Jesus are seperate beings. Francis Klock, elaborating on the spiritual perception of Rudolf Steiner after studying the book, "The Incredible Births of Jesus" by E.R. Smith, feels the angels spiritually engineered the two distinctly different bloodlines of the Solomon Jesus in the Gospel of Saint Matthew and the bloodline of the Nathan Jesus in the Gospel of Saint Luke. Eventually, the Luke Jesus became a perfect human vessel for the Son of God (Christ) to inhabit at the Baptism. This explains Saint Paul's statement in 7:3 that the Son of God was without earthly ancestry.

The Bible tells us of these creators and other spiritual beings in Genesis 1:26:
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...
And in Genesis 3:22:
And the Lord God said, Behold the man has become one of us, to know good and evil."
They are the creators of humans, plants and animals.
If we examine Genesis 1:11 it states,
And Elohim (Gods) said, let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind; whose seed is in itself upon the earth: and it was so.
Here the Head Eloi (some call the individual members of the Elohim, Eloah) is telling the other members of the Elohim to create different species of plants, each one according to "his kind". This is why we have the different varieties of plants. Each God created a different plant according to His individuality. And this is where plants, thus plant seeds have their origin.
In the book Agriculture by Dr. Rudolf Steiner, Steiner states :
That which is imaged in the single plant, is always the image of some cosmic constellation. Say we plant the seed of some plant in the earth. Here in this seed we have the stamp or impress of the whole Cosmos - from one cosmic aspect or another. The constellation takes effect in the seed; thereby it receives its special form.
This knowledge has been forgotten today. But the farther we go back in human history the more humanity knew the above mentioned facts.
In Steiner's book Atlantis he states:
The Atlanteans controlled the actual life force contained in seeds. Think of the life force that causes the blades of grass to sprout from the earth. This life force was extracted from the seed by the Atlanteans and put to use. In their sheds where the Atlanteans kept their air ships they laid up enormous stocks of seeds. They propelled their vehicles (air ships) with the power accumulated from the seeds.
Steiner goes on to say that the air was heavier and water lighter in the Atlantean epoch and these different environmental conditions allowed them to use the life force in the seeds to fly their airships just above the ground. The seeds were not burned but their germinal power was extracted from them. Obviously the link between the Atlanteans, the plant seeds and the above mentioned Biblical beings was much closer than it is today.
To get the materialistic perspective of a 21st century human on the Altlantean spiritual technology, I went to one of the best mechanics I know, Steve Falconi of Southside Truck and Tractor with the above mentioned material. He said, With the air being heavier in Atlantis, if these air ships had a containment mechanism in them to absorb the gases coming from the seed piles, this could create an energy that would propel their air ships.
So, we can say a plant seed is the earthly, ground connection for the cosmic, archetypal spiritual beings (Angels or Gods as you prefer) that create the different plant species "after his kind" according to the Bible. The heavens and the spiritual beings that inhabit these cosmic regions thus create life.
